I usually try to schedule my appointments weeks in advance. Sometimes clients schedule their fall season appointments months in advance. Winter snow sessions are usually confirmed much closer to the actual date when the snowfall and the weather conditions are right.

Scheduling an appointment can be done by phone or email. I like to take my time with every session so that everyone has a relaxed, comfortable and fun time. Therefore, I never schedule more than 2 sessions per day.

Once a session is scheduled we will discuss all the things that we can do to make your pictures fit your personality and meet all of your expectations. Some things that we can discuss are your clothes, make-up and possibly your own props. I have photographed a variety of themes including sport action photography, cars, siblings, friends as well as family pets from horses to puppies. Your imagination is our only limit. Please keep in mind that baby pictures are best when taken early in the day.

I will also supply you with a list of items that will insure that your session runs smoothly.

These include:

  1. Planning your outfit(s) a week prior to session. This will insure availability, cleaning, fit, etc.
  2. 2 days prior make sure that your make-up, hats, shoes and props are ready.
  3. Cars, trucks, machinery or any items that will be included are washed and ready.
  4. Water or refreshments for yourself.
  5. Water, water bowl and treats for your pet.
  6. Eat before your session. This is a MUST!

The session fees are to be paid in advance to hold your session time. A credit card can be held on file to book your appointment. Cash and check are also accepted. Clients canceling sessions less than 48 hours prior to your appointment will be offered a one time rescheduling without additional charges. All "no-shows" will be charged the sitting fee for their session.

You can't beat natural light! On location appointments allow you to schedule your session to whatever best fits your daily schedule. I have had sessions that were located from downtown Detroit to Lexington and most parks in between. Boat harbors, buildings parks, train tracks and beaches are only a few of the many choices. I love new and different locations so if you have any ideas we can make it happen! Belle Isle charges a permit fee to photograph at the fountain and their buildings. Certain parks and a small number of other venues may require a daily entrance fee or pass.
